Our handbags are made by hand with exceptional savoir-faire, by a more than 45 years third-generation family-owned Portuguese leather workshop of heute maroquinerie. 
Handcrafted by 33 female artisans with extreme attention to quality and details.
 
Our Spanish leather supplier comes from a more than 80 years of family tradition in the leather sector, combining their know-how with the best practices. 
All our leather is EU reach compliant (REACH) and and LWG certified (Leather Working Group).

Product Colours and finishes

Due to the handcrafted character of our products differences might occur on leather textures and on hand painted and lacquered edges of the bag, this is not considered a defect. 

We have made every effort to ensure that the colours of our products are displayed as accurately as possible. However, due to the differences in device displays, we cannot guarantee that all devices will accurately display the true colour of the product.

Shipping 

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days, from Austria and will be delivered via a DHL tracked and signed service. UK and EU orders will typically arrive within 3-5 working days, while international orders can take up to 5-8 working days to arrive.

During high-demand periods, it may take us a bit longer to dispatch the order, but in this case, we will contact you directly and let you know the estimated date.

On pre-orders please note that the shipping window on the product page is an estimate, and while we endeavor to ship all orders within the estimated window, in some cases, there may be a small delay.
Please wait at least 9 weeks from the date you have placed the pre-order before you contact us. We are unable to provide an exact shipping date due to the handmade nature of our products. Most items are shipped within the estimated window, and an email with the tracking information will be sent to the email address associated with the order.
If you are no longer able to receive your pre-ordered item at the original shipping address, please email us with your order number, and we will update the shipping address for you.

We can amend the address as long as the package has not left our facility, but unfortunately we cannot reroute a package once it has shipped.

Returns

Please notify us of your intention to return unused items within 14 days of receiving your order.

Pre-ordered items are not refundable.

Galiar bags are produced in limited quantities in Portugal. They are available to purchase only through Galiar.com and select authorized retailers globally.

07 Extra care should be taken to protect white and light colored handbags
08 Clean by a leather specialist only
09 Do not spray with any type of repellent or protective spray

We have close partnerships with our manufacturer and suppliers. They are committed to the environment and sustainable practices. We do not overproduce and minimize waste.

Although we believe leather is one of the most durable and sustainable materials, as a by-product from the food industry, our aim is to integrate more non-leather materials to our collections in the future. 

Minimizing Carbon Footprint
By sourcing all of our materials in Spain and Italy and producing in Portugal, not having any intermediaries, we were able to minimize the steps and geographical distance between the raw materials, manufacturer, our base in Austria and your doorstep. This, combined with our value-focused design principles and CO2-friendly shipping, allowed us to reduce our carbon footprint significantly.

Packaging 
Every purchase is shipped in a FSC-certified box and a 100% recycled cotton dust bag.

Repair 

Our products are made with the highest quality leathers and are true investment pieces. To ensure our products stand the test of time ensure you follow the best care practices.

According to The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), extending a product's use by nine months can reduce its CO2 footprint by 30%.
